Who are you? (4)

I have known you for a while!
Distant places reach out to me
Like photos in the album of my memory.
Words stuck in between pauses,
Phrases lost in translation,
The poignant sound of silence-
Remind me of a surreal ‘you’.

The waves of time hit on the shores
Of what my eyes cannot perceive.
A sharp jab of pain unnerves me.
Reality is but a knife widening the cracks
Of my delusional fantasies.
Question marks keep piling on my answers.
A never-ending battle between my needs and wants
Creates a face that resembles yours.
Who are you?
A treacherous game that never finishes,
Or a ray of hope that never diminishes?

P.S.: You might also want to have a look at the other parts of ‘Who are you?’. Check my previous posts for that.

Void

On wintry nights I feel a sudden urge
To look at the starry sky;
Think about wishes that got buried
Under heaps of untold lies;
Let every emotion out in the cold
Yet hide it all with a wry smile.
We are separated by oceans of love,
United by memories on a lonesome night.

We are real and it hurts
To believe in the truth.
I am broken and so are you;
Oh I wish! We fitted into each other
Just the way others do.
The completion that I seek
Stagnates your colourful mind.
I have learnt to live in the words of distance.
Don’t turn back to find your heart sinking,
Sinking deep in a sea of repentance.

If I were you…

If I were you,
Will the Chessboard turn into a Rubix Cube?
The lanes running down to misery,
Be again filled with mystery?

If I were you,
Will peace descend upon the drops of dew?
The eyes that sought immaculacy,
Maintain their brand of chastity?

If I were you,
Will words and emotions play peek-a-boo?
Passion breaking into silence,
Argue with insolence?

If I were you,
Will you look at me, the way I do?
After concurring with the Rose’s aroma,
Shall I make you my Inamorata?
